Reviews
Small place and had to wait for 30+ min but amazing food and service. Loved their food suggestions and explanation of how the dish would be. Tried the yellow curry, Donsak chicken and the fried papaya salad with shrimp. Each was unique and tasted yumm!!! Stick rice with mango was good. I would happily visit this place again
I had lunch here with my husband. The staff was very nice and kind, and there were plenty of tables in the seating area + the bar area.
We ordered:
1. Tom Kha soup (5/5: Delicious! It was cold that day, and having this soup was perfect. It warmed my soul. ☺️)
2. Thai dumplings (4/5: Very delicious, but I don't think I'll order it again.)
3. Panang Curry w/ combo meat (3/5: The curry sauce was excellent, but the pork, chicken, and beef were a bit chewy and dry. I thought shrimps might be better than meat 🤔, so I'll try it with shrimps next time since the curry sauce was good.)
4. Grilled Pork Neck (10/10!!: This one was the best 🥹👍👍 The meat tasted like Korean sweet bulgogi, and the sauce paired well with it. Anyone should try this here!)
5. Mango w/ sticky rice (5/5: they used fresh and well-ripened mango. It was delicious 😋)
+ We enjoyed their food so much that we ordered from UberEats, and the food was just as good on delivery. This place is now my favorite Thai restaurant in DC! 😊💕
The owner is super passionate about making a welcoming and enjoyable experience (used to work at BeauThai). The food is great and has a good number of options that are beyond the standard Thai restaurant. I hope I can go back there soon!
If you’re tired of the same ole pad thai, try this place for a taste of northern Thailand. The flavors are pungent! Don’t worry, they have the usual Thai dishes on the menu too!
All dishes are delicious. They are really authentic thai food. Grilled pork is 100% excellent, very recommended. Thai sausage is also really good. It is rare to find this thai dish anywhere else. Servers are very friendly and nice. I'm definitely going back many times.
Great little authentic Thai restaurant. Everything we ordered was fantastic. We had the roasted pork neck off the Esan menu. The Penang salmon and Khao Gia. Hopefully next time I’ll get to try the koa Soi.
I am a Thai-food lover and this has just become my favorite spot since the first time I visited. The service is great, the food is delicious and they have an amazing variety of options and the ambient it’s very nice comfortable. I definitely recommend this place for a great lunch or dinner. If you are looking for delicious food, you’ve got to try Donsak!
Family vacation on D.C, starving after going to the zoo. Honestly food was delicious, so much so we felt the need to make a review (which we don’t do often). The place is clean and has a modern feel to it. Menu is super varied. We had the gyozas as a started, had to order a second plate. I ate the pad see ew, and we also enjoyed some delicious chicken and salmon. Would come again on another trip.
